To celebrate Tegan and Sara’s new album (their crazy seventh!) and the fifth anniversary of their legendary 2008 show in Aspen, Colorado (which was actually in April but so…) I will be posting some photos I have taken of them — mostly from the groovy Aspen show — right here on Tumblr. I even found the old memory card I used back then. After digging through all the ancient digital dust, I discovered it had some overlooked gems.

I was on Sara’s side of the stage so there are more photos of her. But fear not Team Teganites, I promise to post one or two of her just for you.

So dig in Tegan and Sara fans, and return here over the next few weeks for more…

I wanted to throw a Fringe finale party but we still don’t have any chairs for people to sit in, only our mattress on the living room floor (ew no thank you butts on my sleep place). So it’s a final fringe Friday party of 2, complete with turkey tacos, guacamole, 2 different desserts (apple crumble and almond butter thumbprints, both v and gf) and a cheap bottle of Riesling! I kind of like how it’s ending the same way it started; me and Claire eating dinner and talking about the potential of the pilot I have just been cast in, and now 5 years later watching the 100th episode on tv together. Bare bones. It’s been a weird, long, strange and beautiful ride. I’m glad we could all travel together. Enjoy the show tonight wherever you are, and congratulate yourself for a fandom well done!

It was a nice way to end this crazy five year ride. And Walter finally got your character’s name right. A touching moment in the glowing amber…

The Denver Art Museum was a warm spot for me this cold winter with their amazing Becoming Van Gogh exhibit. They also have upcoming exhibits for Georgia O’Keeffe and Mark Rothko.
